Request an itemized quotation covering the product, tooling, machining, coating, accessories, packaging and any separately charged transport. For a mixed order, separate each line item and show its quantity and unit of measure.
Samples, inspection and supplier verification
Give every sample a reference number and drawing revision. Record what you approved, what must change and whether the sample represents the intended production process. If you commission an independent inspection, define the inspection stage, checks and acceptance criteria before production is complete.
Compare the quoted company with the manufacturing and invoicing entities. Where test reports or certificates are supplied, check the model, material, issuing organization, date and scope. Ask the issuing organization to verify unclear documents.
